Adult-only San Diego/Baja Trip

The trip started out terrific. We flew to San Diego, rented a car, went to Cornado to stay at a beautiful resort. Did a wine tasting gondola ride through the canals of Cornado and were serenaded by a guy with an extrodinary voice. Had exquisite food, and wonderful spa treatments. Ahh...

But, little did we know what awaited....

Not the ravenous dinosaur, you silly! That was actually another highlight of the trip. We were able to see the Dead Sea Scrolls on exhibit at the Natural History Museum. And, yes, we saw Jehovah's name in the scrolls-extraordinary.
We also took a photo for Logan- planes in front of the Aviation Museum.

The trouble all started with that RED car. We knew it'd be a problem once we saw it...traveling to Mexico and all-the thing was just too shiny and bright. And, sure enough, as soon as we entered Baja, we got pulled over for....not going fast enough. That's right, we were traveling too slow. So, after some nice conversation-have Mexican insurance? What do you do for a living? blah, blah, blah- we were let go. After that things went ok until the intestinal problems hit- guess we've gone to Mexico one time too many. We did have nice massages there too, and the weather was beautiful...just had to stay close to the toliet in our room.

We still managed to have some good food though.

But we were glad to get back to the States. We went to the Science Museum before our plane had to leave.

It was full of hands-on activities ie. what does the world sound like to a deer? or donkey....

All in all, we did have a nice time...
Unfortunately, some parts of our vacation still haven't left us. These things just have to run their course, I suppose.

Let this trip be a lesson...

It looks like you had a real good time together, despite the other issues. Lessons Learned: Don't get the RED car!
