One Year of Isabelle

So, seeing that our upload speed is slower than molasses in January for uploading on the blog, I've posted a link to photos on snapfish- just click on the title, "One Year of Isabelle" above. It has a collection of photos of Isabelle's first year of life, concluding with a bunch of photos of her as a one year old.

She has been doing great with her two surgeries. Everything is all healed up, and she shouldn't have any more. Her prognosis is also good. However, we won't know exactly how much feeling she has (for going to the bathroom) until she is old enough to tell us. The good news is that during her spinal cord surgery, the Dr. tested all of her nerve function, and all of her nerves are in tact and fully functioning. We've been told that her biggest problem will be constipation. So, we'll tackle those issues as they come.

Isabelle's first teeth have finally erupted- two on the bottom, and the top two won't be far behind. She's still just holding on to furniture, and hasn't taken any steps without support yet. She seems to be more cautious than Caroline, but a little less than Logan. Overall, her entire disposition seems to fall somewhere between them. She's a very happy baby, but has no problem voicing her displeasure-and she's got a volume that far exceeds her size. She loves the dogs, and calls them by patting her leg and yelping at them. She also uses some basic sign language we've taught her to tell us what she wants until she really talk.

In the meantime, I am currently 36 weeks pregnant again, and due Sept 27th. We're all looking forward to our new addition, and have just been trying to arrange things in the house to accommodate four children. So far, everything runs pretty smoothly, but we know that's all about to change!

Enjoy the photos!
